Big Bows, Big Drama<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Oversized velvet bows will be stealing the show this year. They\u2019re dramatic but soft, and if you balance your design right, they just work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Atlanta-based Accent Decor<\/em>, bows are one of the biggest trends of the year\u2014appearing not only in traditional fabric, but also in metal form. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing bows as full-on focal points,\u201d the company\u2019s design team notes, \u201cadorning everything from wreaths to containers, elevating everyday pieces into festive showstoppers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Silk Revival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the age of sustainability, Gust is a fan of top-tier permanent botanicals that blend seamlessly into fresh arrangements. \u201cI just did a bridal shower with deep red silk peonies\u2014they looked and felt real,\u201d she says. \u201cIf they\u2019re high quality, silks can be stunning, especially for blush-tone palettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Add in ornaments or rich textures, and suddenly the whole arrangement feels elevated.\u201d Gust is layering permanent florals into trees, garlands and wreaths to create softness and dimension. It felt warm and inviting, like a ski lodge by the fire,\u201d she says. \u201cYou want guests to walk in and feel wrapped in holiday magic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n This elevated-yet-accessible style aligns with Accent Decor\u2019s \u201cHoliday Luxe\u201d theme, a rich design palette filled with jewel tones, classic gold and mixed metals. \u201cIt\u2019s about luxury, but one that feels lived-in,\u201d their team explains. \u201cYou\u2019re building a layered story with textures, not just matching ornaments to a tree.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Retro Reimagined and Wild Organic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Vintage is having a full-circle moment, and designers are leaning into it\u2014with a twist. Brights are back in a big way. Think circus themes, fairies and whimsical handmade pieces in saturated pinks, purples, greens and golds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s that kitschy, old-school look that still feels Christmassy,\u201d says Gust. \u201cPeople want things that feel personal and emotional. It\u2019s all about layered memories.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Accent Decor refers to this trend as \u201cNostalgic and Retro Reimagined,\u201d describing it as playful, joyful and full of sparkle. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing bold monochromatic color schemes, brights that pop and vintage-inspired containers\u2014everything designed to evoke childlike wonder.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, earthy, grounded elements are balancing the glitz. Accent Decor\u2019s \u201cNature-Wild Organic\u201d trend focuses on sustainable design with natural materials, biodegradable products and asymmetrical boho florals. \u201cIt\u2019s the soft edge to the sparkle,\u201d they say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Experiential Installs and Shareable Moments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Mannix, immersive, interactive installations are one of the most in-demand trends this year. Picture: swings wrapped in cedar, ski chalet photo ops and statement lobbies that double as Instagram moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLarge scale is in,\u201d Gust confirms. \u201cBut it has to be sophisticated\u2014classy, layered and lasting. It\u2019s not about over-the-top anymore. It\u2019s about intentional impact.\u201d The Accent Decor team agrees: \u201cMore is more, but with purpose. Oversized ornaments, dramatic scale and luxe textures turn everyday spaces into experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n What\u2019s Next?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Gust says: \u201cTinsel. That long, shimmering, Norwegian-style tinsel\u2014it\u2019s the icing on the tree. Silver\u2019s going to be huge too. Different shades\u2014shiny, pewter, deep metallics.
